Inflatable Balloon Cuff vs. Non-Inflatable Anatomical Gel Seal
Dr. Muhammed Aslam Nasir recognized that conventional airway cuffs create hydrostatic pressures far exceeding mucosal capillary perfusion pressure, causing ischemic tissue trauma.
Balloon Compression and Distension
Standard supraglottic airways rely on air inflation through a pilot balloon. In clinical practice, overinflation occurs in over 80% of routine cases, creating pressures reaching 80–120 cmH2O.
Pressure-Neutral Anatomic Gel Seal
Dr. Nasir eliminated the cuff entirely. Engineered from medical-grade SEBS thermoplastic elastomer, the seal mirrors human and veterinary anatomy, generating an airtight seal without mechanical tissue stress.
Engineered for Human Critical Care & Veterinary Precision
Two revolutionary applications of Dr. Nasir’s patented supraglottic technology, each customized for anatomical physiology.

i-gel® Supraglottic Airway
Human Anaesthesia & ResuscitationThe 2nd Generation Supraglottic Airway with Non-Inflatable Perilaryngeal Anatomy Seal
The gold-standard non-inflatable supraglottic airway device used in routine anaesthesia, difficult airway algorithms, and emergency resuscitation worldwide.

v-gel® & v-gel® Advanced Veterinary Airway
Species-Specific Veterinary AnaesthesiaThe World’s First Species-Specific Supraglottic Airway Devices for Veterinary Medicine
Species-specific anatomically contoured supraglottic airway device preventing tracheal trauma and delivering safe positive-pressure ventilation in veterinary anaesthesia.

Non-Inflatable Anatomical Gel Seal
Medical-grade SEBS | Pressure-neutral contact (<20 cmH2O) | Oropharyngeal seal >30 cmH2O
The core breakthrough invented by Dr. Muhammed Aslam Nasir: molded from soft medical-grade thermoplastic elastomer (SEBS) accurately mirroring perilaryngeal anatomy without air inflation.
Creates an airtight seal (>30 cmH2O) matching aryepiglottic folds, pyriform fossae, and thyroid cartilage with zero cuff pressure, eliminating mucosal ischemia, nerve damage, and post-op sore throat.

The Visionaries Behind TALRIA LIMITED DMCC
A cohesive leadership team combining world-class clinical invention, precision biomedical engineering, multinational licensing, and corporate governance.
Dr. Muhammed Aslam Nasir
"Just breathing can be such a luxury at times. Our purpose was simple yet profound: design an airway that mirrors human and animal anatomy so naturally that inflation, pressure trauma, and tissue ischemia become obsolete."
Dr. Muhammed Aslam Nasir is a world-renowned consultant anaesthesiologist, medical innovator, and the pioneering inventor behind the i-gel® human supraglottic airway device and the v-gel® species-specific veterinary airway system. With decades of frontline clinical experience in anaesthesia and critical care, Dr. Nasir revolutionized supraglottic airway management by discovering that an anatomically molded thermoplastic elastomer could replace traumatic inflatable balloons. In 2016, Dr. Nasir was awarded the prestigious Macewen Medal by the Difficult Airway Society (DAS, UK) for outstanding and lasting contribution to airway management. He also serves as President of Docsinnovent Ltd and is the founder of Light4Life, a philanthropic foundation providing emergency disaster relief and education.
